So I’m feeling the need to write the obligatory blog post about why it’s been so long since I’ve posted and why I’ve neglected my blog and what I’ve been up to since the last post and all that jazz.

I’ve been sick and my dog ate my homework.

The first part was true for about a week as Andy and I huddled up in bed trying to convince ourselves that we weren’t going to die from our 102.4 fevers generously donated by the flu. The second part is sort of true but more like… the dog is chewing everything in sight (which is just annoying) and our computer crashed. But fortunately the computer is fixed now (for free! thank you apple care!) and I am finally feeling 100% myself again and Charlie is still chewing everything, but I’m not going to let his chewing keep me from blogging.

Oh… and if you’re curious what a month-long blogging hiatus can do to a puppy… just take a peek:

growth spurt anyone?

It’s sort of unreal how quickly puppies grow. Charlie has officially tripled in size since we got him just 2 months ago, but he still loves to be held by his mommy and will continue to be held by his mommy until her back gives out. Which, I’m assuming, will probably be somewhere around 45-50 lbs.

Anyway, one of my biggest pet peeves is making excuses… so I’m going to cut this one short. (Hopefully my excuses for not writing were cleverly disguised with cute pictures of our puppy) But, just to let you know that while I was on hiatus I did a ton of baking, a lot of making, and a little bit of painting, so get excited for lots of new recipes and insights on my current (and just finished) projects!

Don’t make excuses, make things happen!

You MUST keep up with your blog more. I still smell baked goods when I read them. Warm fuzzies and smiles.

  2. No problem Elizabeth! 🙂 This latest post (strawberry shortcake) was just for you 🙂
